1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how TeqEngine ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit teqengine.ai, submit a form, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website.

This website is intended for business visitors, prospective clients, partners, and candidates. It is not directed to children and is not intended for the submission of regulated, confidential, or sensitive client data.

2. Information We Collect

Resource requests

Email address, optional first name, the requested checklist, and page or campaign context submitted with the request. We use this information to send the requested resource and keep a record of the request. Form contents are not included in analytics events.

Model Change Index alerts

Email address, the models and platforms you choose to follow, your reminder settings, the page you signed up from, when you asked for and confirmed the alerts, and the result of the form's security check. We find your subscription by a one-way hash of your address and keep only hashes of the links in our emails, not the links themselves. Each signup request also reaches our inquiry inbox with the same security screening as other website forms.

Career introductions

Name, email address, area of interest, optional location and work or resume links, and the introduction you choose to send. Please share only material you are entitled to share. We use this information to review potential opportunities and communicate with you; form contents are not included in analytics events.

Information you provide

Name, email address, company, project type, budget range, project context, and any other information you submit through the contact form or send to us directly.

Business relationship information

Information about prospective, current, or former client relationships, including communications, engagement context, service interests, and administrative records.

Website and device information

IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, and security or diagnostic logs.

Form protection data

Form submissions may be screened for spam and automated abuse.

Analytics and marketing data

Unless you turn analytics off or your browser sends a privacy signal, Google Analytics and PostHog may process page views, approved campaign labels, and selected navigation or submission events. Campaign context and anonymous browser identifiers may be retained during your visit. Contact-form contents are not included in analytics events. Campaign information submitted with an inquiry is used to understand its source. Our online data partners may also associate visits with information they hold, as described in section 6.

3. Information You Should Not Submit

Do not submit passwords, live credentials, API keys, protected health information, payment card information, trade secrets, confidential client materials, source code, or regulated data through the website contact form. Sensitive project information should be shared only after an appropriate agreement is in place.

4. How We Use Information

  • Deliver resources requested through the website.
  • Send the Model Change Index alerts you confirmed, and record which alerts were sent so the same alert is not sent twice.
  • Review career expressions of interest and communicate with candidates about a potential fit.
  • Respond to inquiries and evaluate whether TeqEngine is a fit for a potential engagement.
  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website and contact form.
  • Prevent spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other security incidents.
  • Manage business operations, pipeline, client communications, and administrative records.
  • Develop website content, service positioning, and marketing performance analysis.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements or website terms.

5. AI Tools in Business Operations

TeqEngine may use internal productivity, automation, search, or AI tools to organize business information, draft responses, manage pipeline, or improve internal workflows. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information through the website. Client confidential information, live data, and engagement materials are governed by the applicable services agreement, statement of work, confidentiality agreement, or data processing terms, not this general website policy.

6. Cookies, Security, and Analytics

The website may use essential cookies, local storage, server logs, or similar technologies for security, performance, functionality, analytics, and abuse prevention. Form submissions may be screened for spam and automated abuse.

Google Analytics and PostHog are enabled by default to help us understand website traffic and improve the site. You may turn analytics off at any time through the notice shown on your first visit or the footer controls. We respect previously saved opt-outs. PostHog session recording and automatic interaction capture are disabled. We omit query strings and contact-form contents from our analytics events. When analytics are on, Google Analytics may use analytics cookies; PostHog stores anonymous identifiers in browser-tab storage during your visit. Approved campaign labels may be retained during that visit. We do not sell information you submit through our forms or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We keep analytics off when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. A local preference records your analytics choice; necessary form protection and server security logs are independent of that choice. Turning off analytics does not prevent you from sending an inquiry.

When you visit or log in to our website, cookies and similar technologies may be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email or online profiles. We (or service providers on our behalf) may then send communications and marketing to these emails or profiles. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://app.retention.com/optout. Other parties, including these data partners, may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this website. On this website, these technologies follow the same analytics choice: they are off when you turn analytics off in the footer or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell information you submit through our forms. We may share information with the following categories of recipients when necessary:

  • Service providers that support website operation and email delivery.
  • Content management, analytics, CRM, scheduling, email, and business operations tools if enabled.
  • Online data partners and vendors that use cookies and similar technologies on the website, as described in section 6.
  • Professional advisors, legal counsel, accountants, or similar parties when needed.
  • Government authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.

8. Retention

We retain website inquiries, business communications, and related records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including responding to inquiries, managing business relationships, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations.

Model Change Index alerts follow fixed limits. A signup that is not confirmed within 7 days is deleted automatically. When you unsubscribe, we delete your email address, stack and settings at once; database backups that may still hold them are replaced within 35 days. Records of which alerts were sent carry no email address and expire after 35 days. If an alert email bounces permanently or is reported as spam, we delete the subscription and our alert list keeps only a one-way hash of the address so we never email it again; after a bounce, that hash is deleted after one year. Our email delivery provider also keeps its own record of addresses that bounce or report spam.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the website. No website, network, or transmission method is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have some or all of the following rights:

  • Request access to personal information we maintain about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational limits.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides that right.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing communications.
  • Unsubscribe from Model Change Index alerts with the one-click link in any alert email, or change the models you follow with the link to your stack.
  • Appeal or submit a complaint where applicable law provides those rights.

11. California Privacy Notice

This section is provided for California residents. We may collect identifiers, professional or employment-related information, internet or electronic network activity information, commercial information related to service inquiries, and inferences from website or business interactions. We use those categories for the business purposes described above. We do not sell information you submit through our forms. Our online data partners' use of cookies and similar technologies on this website, described in section 6, may count as a sale or sharing of personal information under California law. You can opt out through the website's analytics controls, by sending Global Privacy Control, or at https://app.retention.com/optout.

If the California Consumer Privacy Act or another state privacy law applies to a particular request, we will handle that request in accordance with the applicable law.

12. International Visitors

TeqEngine is based in the United States. If you access the website from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
